[21] Kingston, Ontario

More updates, who could not love more updates? So, one of my friends on Facebook posted this really cool survey.

Some people think that the iPod shuffle function has changed their lives and can read their minds: http://www.slate.com/id/2152197/ (alas, the original link to the article at the 'Guardian' is no longer working, but trust me, it's interesting). So I've picked up Kasim's survey. I suppose it works under the premise that "my life is a feature-length-film"...

And here is how it works:

1. Open your music library
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie

  • Opening Credits: Metamorphosis Four - Philip Glass
  • Waking Up: This Velvet Glove - Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • First Day at High school: Surrounded - Chantal Kreviazuk
  • Falling in Love: You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby - The Smiths
  • Fight Song: You Never Give Me Your Money - the Beatles [makes me wonder what the fight was over]
  • Breaking Up: I Could Have Lied - Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Prom: Must Be Dreaming - Frou Frou
  • Life: Don't You Forget About Me - Simple Minds
  • Mental Breakdown: Cupid De Locke - Smashing Pumpkins
  • Driving: Paint It Black - the Rolling Stones
  • Flashback: She's So High - Tal Bachman [oooh, this one takes me way back. all the way back to grade 9]
  • Getting Back Together: Les Jours Tristes - Yann Tiersen (Amelie Soundtrack)
  • Wedding: Age of Consent - New Order [well, this IS one of my favourite songs. But is it appropriate for my wedding day? Maybe the 'getting ready' scenes or the 'dance/reception afterwards' scenes. But the 'walking down the isle 'scenes?]
  • Birth of Child: Shut up - Black Eyed Peas [I swear the God of the iPod hates me!]
  • Final Battle: Rudie Can't Fail - The Clash [at least it's fast enough to fight to, or scratch and claw to]
  • Death Scene: I'm Lonely, but I Ain't that Lonely Yet - the White Stripes [not that lonely yet to what?]
  • Funeral Song: Good Gifts - Melanie Doane
  • End Credits: David Duchovny - Bree Sharp

--I would just like to say that I think this process is intrinsically flawed! 'David Duchovny'?!?!?!?! WHY? (Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but is it appropriate?)

--I think I'll have to try again.
